Galatians 4:6
Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.â€
The idea of slavery is a concept that though understood is foreign to our experience. Total submission and commitment were demanded of a slave. A slave was property rather than a person. He was at the mercy of his master. He was completely disposable. If age, sickness, weakness, or disobedience became a source of irritation to the slave owner, the master would not hesitate to sell or take the life of his slave.
There have been cases, however, where slaves have been freed by their masters. Although it has not been a common occurrence, some have even been adopted into the master’s family. In the Roman culture if a slave was adopted it meant that he became a citizen, his debts were paid, his family alliance was changed, and he became an heir to the master’s wealth. He was no longer a slave. He was now a son.
This is what takes place when we are delivered from the slavery of sinfulness. We become a citizen of heaven, the judgment of sin against us is cancelled, our allegiances to our former life and associations are changed, and we become a joint heir with the Son of God. We are no longer slaves but children of God.

Micah 5:4
He will stand and shepherd his flock
in the strength of the LORD,
in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God.
And they will live securely, for then his greatness
will reach to the ends of the earth.
Knowing the future seems to be important to many people. The Bible Code by Michael Drosnin is evidence of this desire for security. To accommodate the hunger the devil also uses his physic stooges who make a huge number of predictions.
Some of the prophesies are so obvious that a little child could have made the prediction. Other prophecies are so ridiculous you wonder why anyone would care to believe anything else the prophet said. For example, LaMont Hamilton says that in 2011 states will move to leave the union. Hawaii and Alaska making the first move. Nikki said that in 2011 Sarah Palin would get a divorce. Judy Hevenly prophesied that gold would be discovered in Jamaica. Hayek said that Bill Gates would enter politics in 2011. Terry and Linda Jamison predicted that Obama will not be re-elected.
None of these psychics are 100% accurate in their predictions. God tells us a true prophet is always accurate (Deuteronomy 18:22). None of the prophecies in the Bible have failed including the many that predict the coming of a Savior, born in a manger and destined to die on a cross to provide deliverance from sin and hope of eternal life for all mankind.
